Join us for The Last Hoot on Monday, April 27th, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 p.m. on the Housing Lawn as we celebrate the end of the semester with one final night of unforgettable fun, food, and Florida Atlantic spirit! This exciting campus tradition is the perfect way to unwind, make memories with friends, and finish the year strong before finals and summer break begins.
Students can enjoy live music and great vibes provided by Owl Radio, keeping the energy high all evening long. Looking for thrills? Take on the Amazon Zipline and test your skills on the Toxic Obstacle Course for an adrenaline-filled experience right on campus. Capture the memories with friends at the photo booth, and get ready for action with GellyBlasters—a fun twist on paintball using water-filled Orbeez for an exciting and safe competitive experience.
No celebration would be complete without amazing food! Grab delicious pizza and wings from How Ya Dough’n, then treat yourself to refreshing dirty sodas and s’mores provided by Chartwells. Whether you’re coming for the food, the activities, or just to relax with friends on the lawn, there’s something for everyone at The Last Hoot.

FAU Test Prep: Last Spring Courses Starting Soon!
FAU Test Preparation offers comprehensive, affordable prep courses for the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, General Knowledge (GK) Test, SAT, and ACT, with live online and in-person options available. The last Spring courses start very soon, and Summer courses are now being added to the website. Register now to secure your spot. Courses are open to anyone, and FAU students, alumni, faculty, and staff may qualify for discounted course fees.

Learn More!PARTICIPANTS NEEDED: Memory Study
You are invited to participate in a memory study (PI: Luke Rosedahl). The study aims to figure out how the brain forms memories. For this study, you will be asked to provide a saliva sample which we will use to screen for a genetic variant that might impact memory formation. You might then be asked to come in for a follow-up experiment.
Participation Eligibility:
- 18-60 years old
- Normal/corrected-to-normal vision
- Neurologically / psychologically healthy
- Willing to do 1 one-hour session
Benefits of Participation:
- Compensation for completed experiment session ($20)

April is STI Awareness Month!
Taking care of yourself includes staying informed and getting tested, it’s easier and more important than you might think. Many STIs don’t show symptoms, which means testing is the only way to truly know your status and protect both yourself and your partners. Healthy owls know their status! They offer confidential STI testing in a safe, supportive environment, with staff who are ready to answer your questions and provide guidance without judgment. Whether it’s your first time getting tested or part of your routine care, you’ll be in good hands! Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., making it convenient to fit into your schedule.
